Ordering a squad around is fun even though its generally abysmal AI sometimes gets stuck on objects in the world and gives Predator some of the tactical action that I want out of a Ghost Recon game. It's infuriating to be in the heat of the moment and get taken out because I don't press X or square fast enough to pop back down. Ultimately it's not a bad game but not a masterpiece either.

I love being able to order my troops around, and I like that they've put a cover based shooter onto a portable system, but the fun I had with Predator was always hampered by awkward controls and some truly terrible AI.
I also really appreciate that Predator allows me to assume control of any of my squad members at any time, giving me access to an array of weapons to counter predatkr various situations I find myself in. The enemy AI is not the brightest, running sometimes into your line of fire, but will still provide a worthy opponent, especially on higher difficulties.

Sure, your ability to give orders is mostly limited to positioning your squad, but this, combined with the ability to order your squad to attack specific foes, adds a decent level of strategy to the combat. Although its visuals aren't surely stunning and its campaign will only last a few hours, Predator proves to be a decent debut for the series on PSP.
